You do have to be ok with short-term commitments. The foster family has someone to watch their foster dog, the dog has a home to stay in, and you'll be able to get your wiggle butt fix at no monetary cost.
It's like the grandparents get to have the grandkids over for the weekend, love & spoil them, and then the parents come back to pick them up. It's like having a buddy come over for a sleepover.
The door that temp fostering has opened for me is it gives me the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of different boxer dogs, get to love on em, sometimes spoil em, and a few days later someone picks them up and I go about my normal routine. I am house trained but would need work on being crate trained if that is a must in my new home. I am kid friendly and currently live with 8-year children and do well.
